“Oirase Beer” is a craft beer that promises an experience of nature.
Using groundwater flowing from Mt. Hakkoda (OIRASE Stream's headwater), which takes a long time to get naturally filtered,
OIRASE Brewery has produced the popular “OIRASE Beer” over a quarter of a century, since its first sale.
Good Nature, Good Beer!
OIRASE Brewery is located in Towada City, Aomori Prefecture, including Mt. Hakkoda, Lake Towada, and OIRASE Stream, created by early volcanic activities.
In one of the largest broadleaf forests in Japan, represented by beeches, people have been living since the Jomon period, enriching us with their blessings. We are alive today because of the nature cherished by our ancestors. You can experience this magnificent place through its breathtaking nature.
Wonderful nature blesses the creation of beer:
“Good Nature, Good Beer!” We promise to cherish our inheritance of nature and its blessings and to pass them on to future generations. We hope to share this desire with everyone.
Mt. Hakkoda Range is located in the northernmost region of Ou Mountains. Its groundwater has long flown out from one of the world's largest beech forests. As the headwater gushes out from the nearby OIRASE Stream, we call it “OIRASE headwater.” OIRASE Brewery uses this “OIRASE headwater” to brew its beer.
The beer is made in a European style. The head brewer learned the techniques in Czech Republic and set up OIRASE Brewery in 1997. Standard four beers have been loved for more than 20 years and have been popular since the formation of the brewery. We are particular about the raw materials used and continue to pursue an unchanged taste and quality through daily research.
OIRASE Beer is created through the blessings of a wonderful natural environment. We hope that you enjoy the beer by soaking in the nature and participating in outdoor activities, camping, and doing other refreshing activities. We also hope that you consider your natural environment and its blessings in your daily life. Furthermore, we provide people with the opportunity to connect with each other and with nature.
A craft beer where you can experience the nature of OIRASE.
We have been using ground water from Mt. Hakkoda (OIRASE's headwater) that has been flowing out for a long time.
